More About the Junior Program

Ages 4 - 5

Please note all campers MUST be toilet trained and use the toilet independently prior to the start of camp.

Find below a sample weekly schedule. Please keep in mind these are sample schedules reflecting the types of activities that may happen during the week. They are not reflective of actual programming. Actual program schedules WILL be available prior to the start of camp.

We will have themed Monday afternoons where we will play games and make crafts at the church based on that theme.

Choose your own activity: Juniors are given a chance to choose what they would like to play with while a leader mans each station while the kids can go back and forth between stations. These are our usual options: jump on the trampoline, jump on the bouncy castle, play with life sized foam blue blocks, play soccer, play hockey, or colour and play with the toys in our toddler room used for Sunday mornings.

Onsite activities: We have many planned activities that we hold in the church's facilities, some examples are: make your own slime, water day, worship, lesson and more! We also hope to have a fun activity come to us each week such as a magician or an animal show.

Walkable offsite activities: We love using the resources in the wonderful Streetsville community such as our parks or local businesses like Streetsville Bowl. When a trip is a walkable distance we line the kids up with leaders spaced between the kids and walk together. Our leaders know how to safely cross the roads with our Juniors and keep a careful eye on them.

Bus offsite trips: The Juniors and Littles go on all offsite trips that need a bus together. We always choose curated and age appropriate sites. Some examples may be: Springridge farms, Chudleighs, Mini golfing, etc.

Swimming & Splash Pad: When taking our Juniors to the splash pad we split them into groups with a leader to camper ratio of 1:4. Juniors must wear a lifejacket to enter a pool and will be within arms reach of their assigned leader at all times. If a Junior doesn’t want to swim they are more than welcome to stay in the splash pad.
